The Embassy attests the seals of the Ministry/Department of Foreign Affairs of the accredited  countries and signature of authentication officers on the basis of specimen details provided by concerned countries in the documents related to consular, trade and commercial matters between Nepal and Australia. Fee applicable AUD $ 60.

Similarly, seals and signatures are attested in the documents issued by the offices of the Government of Nepal and certified/attested by the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Fee applicable AUD $ 60.

Power of Attorney

Power of Attorney (PoA) prepared in a format prescribed by law is certified as per prevalent rules and laws. The grantor/principal of power of attorney must be present in the Embassy and must sign the document in the presence of the head of mission. All relevant documents (Copies of land/property ownership certificate/marriage registration certificate etc.),  photographs (2 each) and copies of Nepali Citizenship Certificate of both grantor/principal and grantee/agent must be submitted along with a joint formal application addressed to the Embassy. The PoA grantor/principal must submit one original photo ID (passport/driving licence etc.).  Fee applicable AUD $ 60.

Driving Licence Translation

The Embassy can provide an unofficial translation of Nepalese Driving Licence. Verification/Certification/Attestation/Authentication of the Driving Licence shall be subject to the response received from the concerned authority in Nepal which normally takes around 3 months. Fee applicable AUD $ 60.


Renunciation of Nepalese Citizenship

Any Nepali national willing to renounce the citizenship of Nepal can fill in the form and submit it to the Embassy with original citizenship certificate and passport (download citizenship renunciation form).  Embassy can provide recommendation/proof of renounciation upon demand. Fee applicable AUD $ 60.

 No Objection Certificate

The Embassy may issue No Objection Certificate or other recommendation letter on reasonable matter upon request. Fee applicable AUD $60.



The Embassy, in keeping with the spirit and letter of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, 1963 provides services to the Nepalese nationals in need.
